Safety
An inclusive play centre suitable for children with special needs. The play centre can be accessed via extra wide stairs or a ramp with guardrails, which let the user move around in a wheelchair or with the help of a caregiver. The steps are wider, so they can be stood on with both feet. The handrails and side panels are taller to offer extra support. The slide itself is wider, so the kids and caregivers can slide down it together. To create a visual contrast to help the visually impaired, the vertical surfaces of the stairs, the first step and one platform board have been dyed darker. The ramp leads to a long platform decked with activity panels. The play centre is equipped with many activity panels, that help develop fine motor skills moving a ring from one end of the panel to the other, turning the captains helm or a circular activity panel, viewing the surroundings from the binoculars.
